The family business was kicked off in July 2004 as a result of multi-year pondering and planning in order to start holiday resort rental business in the own farm with traditional and close to nature built log houses in the village of Auttoinen in Padasjoki municipality. The line of business covers everything from the construction to the rental and site management both a number of supporting holiday services. Many construction services are obtained from the local contractors and specialists.

The construction planning, acquiring the building licences and the constructors selection started rapidly. The fast progress and skilled labor force were the key to have the foundation base finished before winter and frost. By the end of first year two buildings had roof on and the third log frame was raised. The springtime work focussed on the in-house work and final finishing. The garage/storage buildings and other outdoor work was finished before the rental started by the Midsummer 2005.

Sirpa, the Managing Director of Raut-Kotka Oy is specialized in country tourism. The important furnishing skills and the good suppliers made the fast schedule possible. Raut-Kotka Oy employed many local aces - construction specialists and specialty contractors. When the own projects were completed according to plan, we started the constuction business to deliver the services to other customers.
